Librarian's Recommendations for using Historical Newspapers:  
  • Be sure you know when events happened before using historical newspapers.
  •  Be sure to use the date limiters if you are searching for primary sources. If you don't, you may end up with articles written about events 10 or 20 or 50 years after they occurred--which are still old but are secondary sources
